Itinerary

Morocco Travel holidays driver will greet you at the airport and bring you to Fez. You can see the main landmarks along the way. You pause at Meknes for a guided tour of Volubilis. In the meanwhile, you'll see the Roman remains and learn more about the history of the abandoned city. Then you go on to Fez. Spend the night at your Fez Riad.

The whole second day of our Morocco itinerary (6 days from Casablanca) will be spent visiting Fez, the world's oldest cultural and spiritual center. In 790 A.D., Moulay Idriss II established the city. Your Morocco trip includes a visit to the ancient medina. Exploring the back alleyways and twisting lanes of the city. Begin in the Mellah (Jewish Quarter) and work your way up to the Royal Palace (yard). After that, you'll see the well-known tanneries and the Quaraouine mosque, which is believed to be the world's first university. Lunch will be provided at an ancient Moroccan restaurant in Medina. A breathtaking panoramic view of the capital awaits you. We'll be spending the night at the same riad.

We'll depart Fes after breakfast and travel to the Merzouga Sahara Desert via Ifrane. The city is known as "Morocco's Switzerland." Throughout this journey, you will be able to see the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountains. We make a quick halt at Azrou's cedar forest to view the Barbarian Apes. After that, we'll go to Midelt for lunch. Our Morocco trip will continue via the Tizi Ntalghamt pass, the magnificent Ziz Gorges formed out of volcanic rock, and the stunning Ziz Valley. We'll drive via Berber villages to Erfoud and then Rissani before landing at Merzouga. Finally, stay at a nearby motel for the night.

After breakfast, the Morocco Travel driver will pick you up from your accommodation and transport you to visit the Merzouga dunes and people. You'll visit Khamlia village and meet Gnawa people. You'll get an up-close and personal look at their music and way of life. You may also visit the Sahara desert to meet some nomad families. They continue to live in Berber tents made from the fur of their animals. You will be given a traditional meal called "Berber pizza." Then you drive to Rissani, where you may see the renowned souk if your Morocco vacation coincides with it. You will then return to Merzouga village, where your camel ride awaits you. It takes about an hour to ride a camel to the Merzouga campgrounds, where you will spend the night. You will be able to enjoy the sunset as well as Berber music and dancing in the camps. This will be a wonderful evening.

On the fifth day of our Morocco tour, you may witness the dawn (6 days from Casablanca). Following that, you'll ride a camel back to Merzouga village. Breakfast and showers are available at the Riad. Following that, you'll drive to Morocco's tallest and narrowest canyon, the Todgha Gorges. After lunch, you'll take a trip into the Dades Valley, where you'll witness magnificent sandcastles and stunning rock formations known as "monkey toes." A typical Riad stay includes dinner and breakfast.

Finally, on the sixth day of your Morocco trip, you will leave your Riad and go to Marrakech. You will, however, see the highlights of Dades Valley before going to Marrakech. You will visit the Ouarzazate movie studio, where famous films have been shot. Atlas Studio is often regarded as "Africa's Hollywood." In addition, Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a Unesco World Heritage Site known for its beautiful vistas that have served as the background for numerous Hollywood films, may be visited. Finally, you will fly to Marrakech over the Tizin'tichka Pass. In the evening, you will be dropped off at your accommodation in Marrakech.
