The first day after your arrival, we will pick you up from the airport and drive you directly to fez via the freeway, where you will enjoy the view of Rabat's fertile lands and Meknes' city until you arrive at your riad in fez, where you will spend the night and enjoy a traditional dinner.

After breakfast in your riad, you will begin your exploration of Morocco's oldest city, walking through its alleys and small streets. You will leave Fes in the middle of the day and fly to Ifran, a stunning mountain village known as "Morocco's Switzerland," and then to Midelt. You'll get glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains on this trip. Stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the heart of Morocco's famed cedar forest, where you're likely to see Barbary apes. After spending some time in the trees, you'll carry on to Midelt, passing through the Atlas Mountains' majestic hills and mountains. You will be staying at Hotel Taddarte in Midelt, which is a five-star hotel.

You can travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud after breakfast in your hotel. As you approach Errachidia, you'll note how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you drive through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau; you'll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach Errachidia, where you'll have lunch and enjoy Berber hospitality. After that, you'll fly to Erfoud and Rissani via the lush Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way. Arrive at Merzouga on the afternoon. Before embarking on your camel ride to spend an overnight in the desert camp with Berber music and sandboarding, you'll be greeted with a glass of mint tea.

Your camel man will wake you up early in the morning to see the most beautiful sunrise you've ever seen. You'll camel-trek back to Merzouga village in quiet. The stunning Erg Chebbi sand dunes, which change with the light as the day progresses, are impossible not to admire. After breakfast in the riad, depart for the Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra gorges, Morocco's highest and narrowest gorges. We'll drive through the Dades Valley after lunch in the gorge, where you'll see majestic sand castles and impressive rock formations known as "monkey toes." The night will be spent in a posh hotel with a view of the Dades valley.

You can ride through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M'gouna and Ouarzazat after breakfast in the hotel. The path through Dades Valley is known as the Way of the Thousand Kasbahs, and it offers numerous opportunities to capture some of your best photographic moments of the trip in both the valley rose roses and Ouarzazate's cinema area, passing by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. The largest Kasbah in Morocco, founded by T-Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains at the turn of the twentieth century, it served as a rest stop for him on his long journey from the Sahara to Marrakech. After visiting one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, we will go on to cross the high Atlas Mountains, which are full of panoramic views.

After breakfast in the riad, you can begin exploring Marrakech, Morocco's "red capital." We'll make sure you see the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, and the Bahia Palace, among other historical and cultural highlights. You can walk through the souks and see hundreds of handicrafts after lunch at a restaurant near the square. You will have some free time in the afternoon to explore the rest of the city on your own.

This day will offer you the option of joining a cooking class to learn how to prepare a Moroccan dish, or simply having a simple and relaxing day.
